Rhonda Chrimes
Hi there my lovelies!
I’m Rhonda.
And I’m a deep-thinking entrepreneur, big-hearted multi-passionate creative and fun-seeking eternal optimist. I strive to support you to paint the picture of your life the way you DO want to see it.
I’ve been around the sun quite a few times now and have been sketching and rubbing out, re-sketching and scrunching up many of my own life ‘drafts’ along the way. My quest for all the areas of my life to harmoniously work together all while allowing my own True Colours to shine.
As a result of the process, I intimately know what it is like to be at a given time in your life where the picture you had painted of how and what things SHOULD be like – JUST AREN’T!
The more people I’ve has spoken to, the more I’ve has found that this doesn’t matter how old you are! That these times of apparent crisis can happen at any stage or to any aspect of life.
I’m so proud to have formalised my many, many years of researching and learning. I am now a One of many Certified Women's Coach and Trainer and One of many In-house Coach. As well as founder of Liminality Lifestyle – my own Life and Leadership Coaching business for Everyday Women where choices don’t have to be beige or neutral… they can be a whole rainbow of colours. You get to choose your own True Colours!
My Everyday Women are the ones just going about their daily lives, doing the do, day in and day out, showing up every day for their families, their workmates, and their communities.
These are the women in quiet majority. They generally won’t tick diversity boxes and they usually don’t ask for special treatment. But what I’ve come to realise is that too many of these women have secret dreams and hopes and aspirations. But they have been pushed aside, or dismissed as pipe-dreams along the way, to make room for the needs and wants of everyone else.
They are the mums, sisters, aunties and nannas who sacrifice themselves, put themselves to the back of the line every day so that someone else can have more, do more, or be more.
They are the women who have been deferring their own needs and desires for so long that now they are overlooked, ignored completely or have become doormats to be walked over.
They are the now grown up people-pleasing-good-girls who have forgotten how to use their own voices to stand up for themselves without it feeling confrontational.
They are the Superwomen who are never good enough. Constantly trying to be the most considerate, the most efficient, the most productive they can be for everyone at home, at work, and at play. They dismiss the feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm and passive resentment, while they push through to get “just one more thing” done. Silently hoping that then maybe they’ll receive the recognition and approval they so desperately seek.
They are also the ones who have hit a point in their life, maybe triggered by a milestone birthday or some other last-straw-event that makes them stop and say enough! – “Enough!”
Are you one of my lovely Everyday Women?
I do so love supporting Everyday Women reveal their own True Colours by curiously exploring and challenging the stories they’ve been telling themselves for way too long.
True Colours
I see your true colours, and that's why I love you, so don't be afraid to let them show, your true colours, true colours are beautiful, like a rainbow.
Performed by Cyndi Lauper; Writers: Billy Steinberg, Tom Kelly
I am proud to be an Aussie (Nationalised) of English/Scottish/Irish roots, born in New Guinea before independence (so also an unbeknown illegal immigrant for 14 years in Australia - whoops) relocated briefly to Melbourne, then Perth and she has now lived in regional Western Australia for over 30 years – currently in the remote outback city of Kalgoorlie.
I know only too well the dysfunction of wearing the “BUSY” badge, the “I’m not enough” guernsey and the many elaborate stories I’d told myself to justify it. All while I dismissed honouring my own needs and devalued my own self-worth along the way.
And then I crashed and burned as a result. TWICE.
When I stumbled upon One of Many and learned that while the stories I had been telling myself had smudged my true colours, they were not the “truth”.
I started by inquisitively seeking to uncover my own values and beliefs, and then questioning their validity and congruence as I went. I’ve applied the One of Many tools and teachings to myself and I love the depth and brightness of my freshly painted self so much.
I am also proud to have formalised my many, many years of researching and learning. I am now a One of many Certified Women's Coach and Trainer and One of many In-house Coach. Check out what some of my clients have to say:
“Rhonda’s tag line - VISION | PURPOSE | CLARITY - is spot on with what she has been able to help me with. Guiding me through using the PowerTypes, Rhonda has given me amazing tools and resources that have helped to clarify different life areas and get curious about what I perceive as success, satisfaction or failure. I’m forever grateful to Rhonda for sharing her wealth of knowledge, down to earth honesty and inspirational messages, along with her great sense of humour with me.”
"I have experienced some ongoing difficulties with my family throughout my lifetime and while Rhonda and I never actually focused on that area specifically, the ripple effect of me actioning the One of Many tools and practices have also profoundly impacted the way I interact and communicate with both my parents and my own grown children. It’s like where I was then and where I am now, is hundreds of miles away."
"Coming into Rhonda’s coaching I felt bullied, undervalued and unheard. The only way I thought I could be noticed and heard was by raising my voice, but that felt like it was always the wrong thing to be doing, because then people told me I was angry and unapproachable. But then if I didn’t shout out, I thought my only other option was to roll over, be a doormat and be bullied. I felt like everything was happening to me and that I was completely out of control of my own life. Coming out the other end I now feel more confident, I now know what I want, I know how to look after myself and I now do it on a regular basis."
Rhonda is also the proud mum of three independent adult children and wife of a stoic husband who is still hoping for a simple life (poor love, I do keep trying). I am fur-mumma to Mowgli the Jungle Boy cat and fur-nanny to delightful Dottie the dynamo dog. I have had a myriad of jobs from Vet Kennel-Maid to Office Bookkeeping, to Senior High School Principal’s PA, through to running a Heavy Vehicle Towing and Transport company. I love to travel, be it just out bush or overseas, even say for the odd weekend retreat, or longer!
My vision is where we all speak, hear, be and do through shared vulnerability, collective compassion, united courage, dignified curiosity and wholehearted joy.
Much love xx
